Great elegant hotel with a real Venetian feel. Located on a canal very close to several vaporetto (boat) stops. I had a best room with a view on the canal on a 3rd floor (room 31) and the view was marvellous. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, bathroom spacious. The wifi was good, and free complimentary water has been provided every day in a room. Breakfast has been delicious and you can also have dinner, as well as sit outside on the canal to have some evening drinks. The hotel has no lift, so you will have to drag your luggage up the stairs if you're staying on higher floors, but the view I had from my room was absolutely more than worth of any discomfort (the hotel has this unique old Venetian hotel style feel anyway). Highly recommend this hotel and I will be definitely coming back!

Canal view room very good, other rooms very small. Location excellent, close to vaporetto stops for all destinations. Easy walk to Accademia bridge and San Marco and lovely view over the Guidecca Canal. We really liked the restauranrt which had excellent food and lovely views

Traditional pensione with very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely breakfast with a great variety of choice with amazing fresh produce. The location of this hotel was perfect for us to explore an area of Venice we were less familiar with. Many good restaurants on the waterfront and the area felt less busy than the main tourist area. Will definitely use this hotel again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed so much our stay in La Calcina. The stuff are so gentle and helpful, the room is very big and well equipped, the lobby and dinning room are beautifully designed. The breakfast was delicious. We liked very much the location, 2 minutes from the Vaporetto station, in very nice and calm area with small coffee and bakery's. 10-15 minutes walk from S.Marco and 20-25 minutes max from the other sites we visited. Thak you for beautiful experience in Venice, we definitely will recommend and hopefully come back to your place.

Room size was fine - we had booked comfort room so knew it wasn't the largest but comfortable, clean and very quiet. Breakfast (and dinner) was very good indeed and the staff were fantastic - from the reception staff through to the bar and restaurants staff and cleaners everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location was great - few minutes walk into the very busy touristy area but plenty of nice bars and restaurants within minutes to avoid the rush.

The location is fantastic! It's right on the canal and I had an amazing view of the canal from my room (see picture). It's away from the Venice crowds but not far from San Marco Square either. The Peggy Guggenheim Museum is close and was a highlight. I always love the Venice Biennale. It's a few minutes from the Zattere ferry stop. You can even take a ferry directly to/from the airport from there. Or ferry to the bus stop. The front desk staff were really sweet & sharp. Samuel was nice to chat with a little at the end of the day and very helpful. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and I'd come back again!

great location on Venice's Zattere, which offers a free view and the first sunshine of the day. Restaurants, cafes and the Zattere Vaporati stop are all very close. The interior of the hotel is very cosy, carefully chosen and during the warm(er) seasons you can use the terrace on the Guidecca Canal or the garden.

The location of this hotel is perfect - Dosoduro 100 meters away from the zaterre water bus stop for vaperettos and Alllelaguna tours to take you to the airport, Murano, Burano and Torchello. It has a wide pavement outside of the property which directly looks out onto a large canal (not the grand canal) with spectacular views! Hilton Molino Stucky is opposite on the other side of the canal. The hotel is close to Accademia Bridge, one of the two main bridges that crosses the grand canal, the other being Rialto. Rialto is very crowded given that this was the first bridge to be built as it is the narrowest part of the grand canal. Close to St Marks Square and all the fashion houses and leather bag shops! the smell is divine!

Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and we even had a little terrace and a view of the water. Breakfast was excellent and very relaxed and we loved that the location of the breakfast room gave us a view out over the water. We loved the location of the hotel too, it was so easy to reach from the boat, especially important as we arrived late and everywhere was easy to get to from it.

It is beautifully located, great connection to Lido to the festival, to the airport and San Marco is within easy reach on foot too. Calm, spacious, very helpful, friendly and professional staff. They are very responsive - before and during my stay too. Bed very comfortable, quiet room. Breakfast very nice. I am grateful I could enjoy your hotel.
